The Batwing House

The project is an extension to an existing home in a heritage overlay in Ascot Vale. The design carefully connects the untouched heritage façade with a new contemporary rear addition, creating a seamless dialogue between old and new.

Responding to the client’s brief for additional space for a growing family, the layout provides private zones for both the children and the parents. A separate wing ensures privacy between generations, while thoughtful spatial planning and a strong emphasis on natural light shaped the overall design outcome.
