Craggy House

This modernist residence provides a family with generous indoor and outdoor living spaces, all crafted on a steep allotment with expansive views across Yarrambat. Every element has been carefully considered to address the site constraints and planning overlays. The home sits proudly on its embankment, its form stepping with the land to minimise bulk while maximising outlook and natural light.
Despite the south-facing orientation of the outdoor areas, the design ensures excellent light penetration throughout the day. Strategic glazing, volumetric shifts, and clever placement of open spaces help draw natural light deep into the home, creating warm, usable spaces year-round.
