Undulating Cubes

Inspired by a collection of individually sized cubes, this residence reimagines contemporary architecture with a bold sense of playfulness. Each cube is shaped, angled, and meticulously refined to create shifting silhouettes and dynamic geometry, resulting in a home that feels both sculptural and purposeful.
Set against an undulating natural backdrop, the design celebrates contrast. The strong rectilinear forms stand proudly within the landscape, while the cascading levels respond effortlessly to the site’s natural fall. As the land drops away, the home opens to breathtaking mountain views, transforming the surrounding environment into an integral part of the living experience.
Solar orientation played a central role in the design. The large highlight window and feature glazing are carefully positioned to the north, capturing natural light throughout the year while enhancing comfort and energy efficiency. Each cube defines a distinct interior zone, clearly expressing the home’s layout and offering a unique spatial rhythm throughout.
Undulating Cubes is more than a home it is a sculptural form brought to life. With its bold geometry, deliberate contrasts, and thoughtful integration of functionality, it stands as a striking example of how innovative design can elevate both lifestyle and landscape.
